IR-ALERT Decision-Based Training (DBT) program is a training tool that provides knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA) that officers and other public safety professionals require to make better decisions and achieve better outcomes. Based on a recognition-primed decision (RPD) model, our International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training IADLEST-certified training allows officers to quickly match situations to successful patterns they have learned previously.
Among the various courses offered by IR, the Workplace Violence and Active Shooter Training (WASP) explores the nature of workplace violence incidents and active shooter attacks, and common factors encountered in such incidents. Participants in the class will learn how to assess a violent situation, and create a plan of action.
IR-ALERT utilizes our company’s experience in reality-based training courses to help officers reduce the use of force, achieve public safety objectives, and reduce department legal exposure.
